| I had the pleasure of attending two camera exhibitions recently. Whilst there I planned to test out the low light capabilities of the new Nikon chip. With top models and set ups thoughtfully laid out by manufacturers, it seemed a perfect opportunity to shoot some studios shots for the first time in 4-5 years.
Most fellow photographers sensibly used their flashguns and auto settings. Whilst I used some flash at the expo event I did also experiment with camera settings. Although a touch noisy due to the high iso, I enjoyed the outcome. The girl on the Hasselblad stand at focus, stood around the birch trees, has a bluish feel to it because of the camera settings, but I rather like it that way. Why change it to look right when it conveys a nice colder edge, just for the sake of it. I would like to thank the models for their professionalism and the manufacturers for the good grace and money spent on the sets. Unfortunately I don't wish to make these shots available as no model consent forms were sought. I just had fun and enjoyed the challenge! |
